Timex Watchbands
Timex started out under the name Waterbury Clock in 1854 in Naugatuck Valley in the 19th century. This was called the Switzerland of America. The Waterbury Watch Company produced the first inexpensive wind up pocket watch in 1880. When the First World War was fought the company began manufacturing wristwatches. They instantly became popular and Timex was the first company to produce the world's first Mickey Mouse watch with permission from Walt Disney himself in 1933. Mickey's hands were used to point to the time. It was the world's first novelty watch, and still a top selling collector;s item every year.
Timex watches are the best selling watch in America. You heave heard of the slogan, Timex; it takes a lickin but keeps on tickin. Which is true of the watch, but sometimes the bands need to be replaced. Timex bands are available as aftermarket generic bands, and genuine replacement Timex watch straps can be found online!
